Anonymus:
To be saved, you have to ask Jesus into your heart and accept Him as your Lord and savior, and repent of your sin.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” -John 3:16
You believe that Jesus is God’s son and that he died for you, correct?
Now, you also must ask for forgiveness of your sins.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” -Romans 6:23
So if you have done this, you’re saved :)
But, here’s my question for you…
Will your Father be proud of you when you see Him face to face? Will He look at you and say “Well done, my faithful servant.”.. or will He say “You acted as though you weren’t even mine.”
God wants us to really LIVE for Him. When we get saved, we give our life to Him. We give God control! And since you’ve been forgiven for your sins, you shouldn’t want to do them anymore.
You shouldn’t say “I’m sorry God, please forgive me” and then go on living your same life. There should be a change in you.
“You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” -Ephesians 4:22-24
If you get saved, you strive to be the person God wants you to be, and you put off your “old self”, you will be amazed how awesome your life is. To feel true Love, which comes from God, is the best feeling in the world.
I don’t see how someone can really be saved in their heart, and not want to change for the God that had the mercy to forgive them for their sins. He Loves us so much, and we should be willing to TRY to be like Jesus. We owe Him our life… and He’s really only asking for us to give Him control over it. Putting your life in God’s hands is so… awesome. He Loves you enough to send His son to die for you and forgive you for everything you’ve done wrong…
So if you give Him complete control of your life, just imagine the great things He’ll do. Yes, you will glorify Him always, but He will bless you abundantly.
But blessings are just amazing gifts we receive as Christians :) It’s not about blessings, it’s about His Love <3
